Cleopatra Resort F16 Hurghada

Staying at this accommodation was quite an experience, though not one that I would eagerly repeat. Upon arrival, I was greeted by dirty corridors that didn't set a promising tone for what was to come. The state of the room was even more alarming; I found myself dedicating two hours to cleaning the space before I could settle in. Hairs of various lengths and colors littered the floors, and the walls showed signs of neglect. The sofa was stained, and the kitchen utensils were so poor that I questioned their safety for use. To make matters worse, the taps and showerhead were rusted, and the waste pipes were connected directly to the sewage system without the necessary traps, leading to unpleasant odors permeating the room. Additionally, the location was a letdown, with a dystopian view of rubbish-strewn streets and a beach that, despite its price, was filthy.

On the bright side, the 1-bedroom flat did have some redeeming qualities that made it somewhat bearable. At least the taps provided hot water, which was a welcome relief after the initial cleaning chaos. Located just 50 meters from a shopping center was a definite advantage, allowing for easy access to necessities. The working air conditioning provided relief from the heat, while the fridge and gas cooker allowed for basic meal preparations. Furthermore, I appreciated having a bath to unwind in after a long day of dealing with the less-than-ideal aspects of my stay. While it was a struggle to overlook the numerous drawbacks, the apartment did have some functional aspects that could be appreciated in a pinch.
