L'Oasis De Safaga Hotel Hurghada

Staying at this hotel had its ups and downs, and while I wanted to rate it more highly, my experience compelled me to share a balanced review for the sake of fellow travelers. On the downside, the kitchen, while stocked with cooking utensils, lacked a hob, making it somewhat redundant to have pots on hand. Additionally, the fridge was in dire need of replacement, as the door was finicky and required an odd maneuver to close properly. The bathroom also left much to be desired; the shower had decent pressure intermittently, but it was incredibly annoying when it would drop every 20 seconds. Compounding these issues was a foul smell emanating from the toilet due to it not being sealed to the floor properly, which resulted in leakage. Although the host was responsive to our complaints and quickly sent someone to address the toilet issue, it felt like a temporary fix rather than a long-term solution, leaving lingering odors.

On a brighter note, there were definitely redeeming qualities about the apartment and its location. The space was quite large, featuring both a separate living room and bedroom, which provided a comfortable setting to unwind after a day of diving. The proximity to the Blue Aqua diving center, just a seven-minute walk away, was incredibly convenient and offered affordable diving options. Moreover, the host was very friendly and genuinely seemed to care about the guests, always expressing his willingness to assist. Overall, while there were significant drawbacks that need to be addressed, the favorable aspects, particularly the location and the host's hospitality, made the stay an experience worth considering for those prioritizing space and accessibility in their travel plans.
